In Madrid there are subway lines and buses. The best form of transport in Madrid is the Metro, and is one of the most functional and inexpensive metro networks in Europe. Cycling is not appropriate for the city of Madrid since it doesn’t have a path for bikes and the drivers have not grown accustomed to the presence of cyclists on the road. Prefer the metro or buses since they cover the entire city.
One of the top architectural monuments of Madrid is the Royal Palace (Palacio Real). You will have the chance to see many impressive monuments at the Retiro park, such as the Gate of Independence, the monument of King Alfonso and others.
Madrid is internationally known for its art museums.
