In Paris there are tram lines, metro lines, buses and suburban train which connects the suburbs of Paris with city center. There are also two famous trains, the TGV and Eurostar. The TGV is known for its fast and fascinating journey from central Paris to the rest of France. The Eurostar is a train that connects Paris to London in record time of two hours.
When one thinks of Paris, the first thing that comes to mind is the Eiffel Tower (Eiffel tower). The tower was built in 1889 on the occasion of World Fair which took place in Paris. It was the tallest building until 1931 when the Empire State Building in New York was unveiled.
Paris has more than one hundred museums, which attract hundreds of visitors every year. Along with the riches of stunning paintings from the Golden Age, you can find impressive museums with modern art, press, cinema, theater and photography. One of the most popular museums in the world, is the Musee du Louvre, where artifacts are displayed from the history of several cultures such as Greek and Egyptian, also houses one of the most famous painting around the world, the Mona Lisa of Leonardo da Vinci. To tour this museum you will need at least two days. Other museums you must visit in Paris are the Museum d'Orsay and the Museum Picasso which possesses paintings of the artist Picasso.
